Project Manager 1

The Project Manager 1 serves as the primary liaison between A2Z Events and a curated portfolio of clients, guiding them through every phase of the event technology lifecyclefrom onboarding and setup to post-event wrap-up. This entry-level role is ideal for candidates with trade show or conference management experience who are highly organized, proactive communicators, and passionate about client success. The PM I supports clients in achieving their event goals through accurate system configuration, training, and consultation while collaborating cross-functionally with internal teams to ensure a smooth and impactful client experience. The ideal candidate is eager to learn A2Z's event management platform and grow within a fast-paced, client-focused environment.

As a Project Manager I at Personify, you will play a crucial role in driving our Personify A2Z Events business forward. Personify A2Z Events is a leading event management platform that empowers trade shows, conferences, and associations to simplify operations, boost exhibitor and attendee engagement, and deliver exceptional event experiences. In this role, you'll guide clients through every stage of their event technology journeyfrom setup and configuration to training and launchensuring their events run smoothly and successfully. By combining your project management skills with your event industry expertise, you'll help clients bring their events to life through technology that drives connection, efficiency, and growth.

Here's how you will make a significant impact :

Client Partnership & Project Execution

  • Serve as the primary project contact for assigned clients, ensuring timely communication and proactive project management throughout the event cycle.
  • Understand each client's event objectives and translate them into system configuration and workflow recommendations.
  • Oversee initial system setup and configuration, ensuring data accuracy and alignment with client goals.
  • Execute iterative configuration changes as needed throughout the project lifecycle, maintaining a focus on accuracy and efficiency.
  • Assist clients with troubleshooting issues and escalate technical concerns appropriately to internal teams.
  • Training & Client Enablement

  • Provide direct training and consultative guidance to clients to ensure successful adoption and use of A2Z's event management tools, including the Event Portal and related modules.
  • Guide clients in accessing and utilizing the Learning Management System (LMS) and other available training resources to strengthen their knowledge and confidence.
  • Encourage client engagement with A2Z Support for technical or time-sensitive inquiries.
  • Internal Collaboration & Continuous Improvement

  • Work closely with Account Management to communicate client health, identify risks, and share potential growth or upsell opportunities.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholdersincluding Product, Engineering, and Financeto advocate for client needs and ensure successful project delivery.
  • Adhere to and help refine standardized project management processes, documentation, and best practices across the team.
  • Operational & Administrative Responsibilities

  • Manage timelines, milestones, and deliverables for each project, ensuring adherence to scope and schedule.
  • Create and document change requests or Statements of Work (SoW) when project scope exceeds contracted terms.
  • Maintain up-to-date project records and client communication logs within designated tools and systems.
  • What You Bring

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • 12 years of experience in the trade show, conference, or professional association industry
  • 12 years of client-facing work experience, preferably within a technology or event operations environment
  • Ability to conduct thorough requirements analysis and translate client needs into clear, actionable configurations and documentation
  • Exceptional attention to detail, organization, and time-management skills
  • Proven ability to manage multiple client projects simultaneously while maintaining a high level of quality and accuracy
  • Strong customer service and communication skillsboth verbal and writtenwith the ability to convey value and build trust
  • Experience with workload planning, performance monitoring, and basic project financial tracking
  • Demonstrated ability to quickly learn new technologies, understand project requirements, and collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders
