Oregon Licensed Coding Specialist

A company is looking for a Coding Specialist 2 - Professional Fee.

Key Responsibilities

Review clinical documentation and assign appropriate CPT, ICD-10-CM, and HCPCS codes for professional charges

Monitor compliance with federal and state coding laws and coordinate accurate billing information

Serve as a resource for coding leadership and participate in education sessions to enhance coding processes

Required Qualifications

High School diploma or GED

Minimum two years of experience in coding medical records using ICD-10-CM and CPT coding

Certification from AAPC or AHIMA, such as CPC, RHIA, RHIT, or CCS

Knowledge of CPT, ICD-10-CM, HCPCS coding guidelines, and federal / state insurance billing laws

Experience using an EMR system, preferably EPIC
