Job description

We are seeking an experienced Urgent Care Physician for a locum tenens assignment in New York. This opportunity begins on Oct 13, 2025, and spans 2 days, with 12-hour shifts from 8am to 8pm. The provider will act as the sole clinician, managing all urgent care cases that arise during the assignment.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Serve as the sole provider covering urgent care services
  • Assess, diagnose, and treat a variety of urgent care cases
  • Manage all presenting cases independently during assigned shifts
  • Document patient encounters accurately using Epic EMR
  • Maintain a high standard of patient care and clinical decision-making

    • Additional Information

  • Must be licensed to practice medicine in New York
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications required
  • Several years of urgent care experience preferred due to sole clinician responsibilities
  • Board certification not required for this assignment
  • Proficiency with Epic EMR is beneficial
