Job description

Title : Event Coordinator

Location : Hybrid at Englewood, Colorado

Duration : 6 Months

Pay Rate : $37 / hr on W2

Role Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated Program & Event Coordinator to lead the development and execution of the program. The ideal candidate has experience in event programming, production, speaker management, or sponsorship coordination, with a strong interest in energy, innovation, or academia.

You will collaborate across departments to build high-impact sessions, manage academic and industry partnerships, and ensure a seamless onsite experience for speakers and participants.

Key Responsibilities

Design and manage the program, driving partnerships between academia and industry.

Develop session formats (Pods, Lyceums, Panels, etc.), identify topics, and invite and manage speakers.

Maintain and organize a database of faculty, researchers, and innovators.

Coordinate partner nominations and align university research with funding opportunities.

Ensure smooth onboarding and communication for NextGen presenters.

Support onsite execution, including logistics and staff coordination.

Collaborate with marketing and media teams to promote participants and content.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in business, Marketing, Communications, or related field (preferred).

Experience in event programming, sponsorship coordination, or conference production.

Familiarity with energy, technology, innovation, or higher education ecosystems.

Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, and presentation).

Strong project management and organizational abilities.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office; familiarity with tools like Airtable, Monday.com, or RainFocus.

Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Must be available to travel and be onsite in Houston, TX during event.
