Job description

Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, and troubleshoot photo eyes, proximity switches, limit switches, PLC input / output modules, and related control wiring.
  • Provide expertise in troubleshooting analog and digital controls associated with 480V, 3 phase power distribution systems, motors, variable frequency drives, servo drives, and soft starts.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot position feedback devices, including encoders and load cells.
  • Program and troubleshoot PLC and HMI interfaces, making logic modifications in ladder logic.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot both integrated and stand-alone graphic human-machine interfaces.
  • Analyze communication protocols such as Profibus, serial, and industrial Ethernet.
  • Utilize electrical schematics for troubleshooting and diagnosing equipment issues.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance on Laser Guided Vehicles, conveyors, and production equipment.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent is mandatory.
  • Demonstrated experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and servo systems is required.
  • Preferred experience in troubleshooting and maintaining packaging equipment within a manufacturing setting.
  • A solid understanding of manufacturing safety protocols (lockout / tagout, confined spaces, personal protective equipment, etc.) is preferred.
  • PLC programming experience is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with electrical encoders, servomotors, and amplifiers is preferred.
  • Proficiency in reading electrical schematics is essential.

  • Experience with computerized maintenance systems is preferred.
