Base pay range

$21.00 / hr - $40.00 / hr

Responsibilities

• Supports the development and implementation of safety and security protocols, standard operating procedures (SOPs), training, and security programs; ensures compliance with Corporate Security protocols, SOPs, and company policy.
• Updates and maintains site-specific responsibilities; initiates the incident command system in emergencies until relieved and provides tactical responses to emergencies (e.g., domestic / workplace violence, fire, severe weather, active shooter, chemical spill).
• Implements security systems and strategies (e.g., compliance, crisis response, threat management, investigations, patrol, dispatch); responds to alarms and intrusion detections; prioritizes actions in emergencies; provides life-safety responses (e.g., CPR / First Aid) per company guidelines.
• Assesses threats, investigates policy violations, criminal activity, security breaches, and complaints; assesses visitors (associates, guests, drivers, etc.) and escorts critical information and merchandise when needed.
• Ensures regulatory and corporate policy compliance (PCI, PII, OSHA, Fire Code, Life Safety) and addresses compliance issues and violations; helps implement solutions to achieve compliance.
• Develops and maintains relationships with internal and external partners to promote a safe working environment; provides tactical emergency responses during incidents; delivers customer service to internal and external partners.
• Completes work assignments and priorities using policies, data, and resources; collaborates with managers, coworkers, customers, and business partners; communicates progress and adapts to change.
• Upholds Walmart values, ethics, and integrity; demonstrates respect for individuals and fosters an inclusive environment; acts with integrity and accountability; supports customer / member focus and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

Successful completion of all core components of the Physical Security Specialist Training Academy within 90 days of hire; completion of any new core components or recertification during employment. 1 year of experience in security, law enforcement, military, emergency services, or related area.

Microsoft Office; Bachelor's degrees in Criminal Justice, Emergency Management, or Sociology; CPR / BCLS certification.
