Supervising successful and profitable completion of projects. This is a critical leadership position where you will oversee multiple projects, ensuring that they are completed on time and under budget while maintaining high standards of safety and quality. Project types include; Class A office buildouts, financial renovations, and ground-up buildings.
Reporting Relationship(s) : Director of Construction
Responsibilities : Supervision of projects from start to finish. Effectively lead project team for successful completion. Deliver project status reports to Operations Manager—supervision of Assistant Project Manager and Project Admins.
Workplace : Office environment with job sites in Metro Atlanta Area.
Daily Tasks :
- Conduct meetings with superintendents and assign personnel / teams to daily tasks to ensure projects follow budget and schedule.
- Ensure all company and project policies, procedures, and standards are adhered to.
- Ensure superintendents have everything needed in a timely manner, such as materials, to maintain production effectively.
- Effectively plan project schedules, long and short-term. Keep clear communication with GC and other trades regarding project status.
- Use technology to improve communication and efficiency.
- Handle project-related finances concisely.
- Prepares, expedites, and monitors contract documents, submittals, requests for information, change orders, material delivery logs, etc.
- Ensure schedule requirements are met; adjust priorities and milestones based on changing customer needs, resource availability, and project requirements.
- Conduct quality control and safety inspections for all projects.
- Maintains good relationships with the owner, architect, engineers, subcontractors, suppliers, municipal authorities, and company personnel involved with the project.
- Drive growth and profitability through effective project execution.
- Required Experience and Skills :
- five years of electrical experience
- two years of project management experience
- Basic low voltage experience
- Proficient computer skills
- Proficient knowledge of the NEC and construction safety requirements.
- Skilled at reading and interpreting plans
- Safety Conscious
- Strong leadership skills
- Driver's license
- Desired Experience and Skills :
- Eight years of electrical experience
- four years of PM / superintendent / foreman experience on large $1M+ projects
- Knowledge of prefabrication techniques
- OSHA 10 / 30
- Knowledge of NFPA 70E
- Journeyman's License
- Master Electrician's License
- Scissors Lift / Boom Lift / Telehandler Certified
- Knowledge of low voltage, fire alarm, and lighting control systems
- Experience with Bluebeam / Fieldwire / Rexit / Conest / AutoCAD / BIM software
