Empower youth voices through writing and publishing at 826 MSP

Starting Fall 2025, 826 MSP is seeking passionate and experienced Teaching Artists to lead engaging, project-based writing residencies in Minneapolis partner schools and community organizations. Each residency culminates in a professionally published anthology of student work.

Position Highlights

• Project-based writing residencies (6–12 sessions)
• Grades 5–12, flexible scheduling during school year
• Collaborative curriculum design with teachers and staff
• Lead students in poetry, memoir, fiction, and more
• Work with volunteers to support student writers
• Coordinate anthology publication of student work

Compensation & Hours

This is a grant-funded position, and renewal beyond the current term will depend on both continued grant funding and satisfactory performance.
