Pest Control Technician

• Runs an assigned and pre-scheduled Commercial Apartment Route. Drives company vehicle to customer locations, services, treats, or inspects.
• Inspects the customer’s premises to identify insect and pest problems and applies appropriate products according to label directions.
• Trained to identify various pests, locate the cause, and apply the appropriate treatment method to control the pest. Trained in pesticide use and safety, rodent control, termite control, and fumigation applies pesticide safely in buildings or structures and the surrounding environment.
• Meet with customers to explain service and service agreement and have customers fill out and sign appropriate paperwork. Upon service completion, fill out necessary paperwork including the service ticket, new sales agreement, etc.
• Advise customer of the services provided. Strong ability to keep good records of hours worked, chemicals used, and payment collected.
• Contact customers to schedule service appointments and respond to any problems.
• Maintain cleanliness of vehicle and equipment.
• Removal unwanted creatures such as rats, rodents, insects, cockroaches, bugs, and ants from an infested environment or building based on customer needs.
• Responsible for the extermination of unwanted creatures in an environment with the use of different techniques such as setting traps and spraying chemicals that are harmful to the pest.
• Inspect buildings and the surrounding environment for signs of pest infestation or pests.
• Create barriers to prevent pests from entering a building and Maintains the structural integrity of the building and ensuring the health and safety of occupants.
• Designs and carries out pest management plans and is knowledgeable about the identity and biology of different kinds of pests.
• Possesses physical stamina and be able to withstand harsh conditions as the nature of the job requires standing for a long period of time and working in an uncomfortable environment.

Job Type : Full-time

Pay : $20.00 - $22.00 per hour

Expected hours : 30 – 40 per week
