Job Description :

We are seeking a motivated and skilled Physical Therapist to join our outpatient rehab team in Elmira, NY. This part-time role offers the opportunity to provide high-quality care to patients across all age groups while working within a supportive interdisciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities :

Conduct patient evaluations and develop individualized treatment programs

Administer therapeutic treatments such as exercise, manual therapy, modalities (ultrasound, hot / cold packs, electrical stimulation, traction), and patient education

Instruct patients on the use of mobility aids (wheelchairs, crutches, braces, prosthetics)

Collaborate with physicians and the healthcare team to optimize patient care

Maintain accurate documentation including evaluation results, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries

Supervise and guide support staff as needed

Ensure a safe and compliant clinical environment, adhering to infection control and hospital safety policies

Participate in professional development, in-services, and committee meetings

Qualifications :

Licensed, or eligible for licensure, to practice Physical Therapy in New York State

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 90 days of hire

Experience in a hospital or outpatient setting preferred

Ability to lift at least 30 lbs independently and assist up to 150 lbs

Strong communication, organizational, and patient-care skills
