Description :
Candidates may not be full time, part time, or PRN with any facility within the past year.
Travelers may be required to float to different hospitals within the region as needed.
The unit manages ER holds separately from the main ED.
ER RNs are responsible for their own telemetry monitoring.
The unit frequently reports an average of 8-16 patient visits per day.
Staff can expect a nurse-to-patient ratio of 4 : 1.
In-house security is available for patient safety.
Transport for imaging services is provided by house transporters.
Lab draws are performed by nursing staff.
The unit may have a standby requirement.
Floating to similar floors may be required.
Weekend shifts are typically every other week.
There is no holiday requirement.
Additional notes : The unit accommodates patients boarding while waiting for a room.
The charting system used is Epic.
Candidates can expect a one-day unit-specific orientation.
