What you'll be doing : This finance-focused role, you'll take the lead for the financial management, compliance, and reporting of all grants awarded to the Logan Health Foundation. You will oversee all post-award activities, including helping to finalize grant contracts, tracking expenditures, and ensuring compliance with Uniform Guidance, SEFA, and Single Audit requirements. You'll partner with the grant writer, legal, contracts, and Foundation teams, and play a key role in managing revenue and expenditures and maintaining auditable records. This role combines accounting knowledge, project management, and collaboration across departments, all while helping Logan Health carry out its mission, vision, and values throughout the communities we serve.

Who we're looking for : We're seeking a detail-oriented, process-driven professional with strong accounting or bookkeeping experience who thrives on keeping complex projects organized, accurate, and audit-ready. You'll excel in this role if you :

  • Bring experience or a strong understanding of grant funding, finance, or accounting.
  • Have a knack for project management, with the ability to track progress and ensure timely completion of grant deliverables.
  • Possess knowledge of, or a desire to learn, the principles of Uniform Guidance, SEFA, and Single Audit requirements.
  • Enjoy collaborating across departments while working independently with professionalism and initiative.
  • Communicate effectively, confidently responding to inquiries and presenting to committees or internal stakeholders.

  • Qualifications : Minimum of one (1) of the following required :

  • Bachelor's degree in business, project management, accounting, finance, or related field and a minimum of (2) years' experience in grant financial management, accounting, project management, or governmental compliance.
  • An equivalent combination of education and / or experience from which comparable knowledge and abilities can be acquired.
  • Job specific duties :

  • Oversees post-award grant financials, ensures compliance with Uniform Guidance, and leads preparation of the Schedule of Expenditures of Federal Awards (SEFA).
  • Works in collaboration with the appropriate stakeholder leaders to ensure accuracy in the Single Audit and supports organizational readiness for all federal, state, and private funders.
  • Maintains an annual grants calendar to track deadlines, submissions, and deliverables.
  • Develops and manages project timelines, tracking progress toward goals and outcomes.
  • Serves as liaison between the Foundation and granting agencies to facilitate communication and collaboration.
  • Establishes, monitors, and reconciles all grant accounts within the accounting system. Ensures proper ALN (Assistance Listing Number) assignment and coding.
  • Tracks and reconciles federal expenditures monthly, initiates corrections and / or reclassifications as needed.
  • Oversees federal drawdowns, matching requirements, program income, and cost allocations.
  • Partners with the appropriate stakeholder leaders on Single Audit readiness and annual SEFA approval.
  • Supports program staff in developing compliant budgets for new grant proposals, and application of indirect cost rates.
  • Maintains post-award grant documentation, award letters, reporting schedules, and subrecipient agreements.
  • Ensures compliance with Uniform Guidance (Audit Requirements) and Post-Award, including procurement standards and allowability.
  • Updates and develops policies and procedures in collaboration with grant staff.
  • Coordinates with program staff to ensure timely submission of financial and programmatic reports.
  • Supports subrecipient monitoring, ensuring compliance with federal flow-down requirements.

Shift : Day Shift - 8 Hours (United States of America) Schedule : Full-time, 40 hours per week, day shift Logan Health operates 24 hours per day, seven days per week. Schedules are set to accommodate the requirements of the position and the needs of the organization and may be adjusted as needed.
