B.S. in Industrial Engineering or Metallurgy (preferred)Experience : Five years minimum working in a manufacturing environment. Five years minimum working as a supervisor level or above, Metal and tubular processing experience (preferred)Areas of Knowledge : Safety, Hastelloy and Titanium processing operations (preferred). Equipment capabilities and capacities, industrial cleaning practices associated with Hastelloy and Titanium alloys (preferred), problem solving techniques, Systems (i.e. AX, and Shop Floor Reporting), ISO requirements (preferred), Statistical Process Control (preferred)Skills : Supervision, computer literacy, organization, reasoning and communication Responsibilities : Planning :
Work with the Master Scheduler to ensure compliance to the pilger mill schedule.
Plan all daily activities within the Pilger Mill Department to ensure the proper work centers are operating at the desired levels (Shifts / Hrs.).
Attend morning production meetings with input to areas that might be bottlenecks or equipment downtime requirements. Be prepared with RCCA information for major quality or downtime issues.
Communications :
Ensure all safety incidents are properly communicated to the pilger mill department along with corrective actions.
Participate in monthly and daily safety meetings with hourly team.
Develop clear communication with the inspection and quality leadership to ensure quality issues can be shared with the production team in a timely manner.
Provide clear communication of work list priorities for each work center and follow up to ensure schedule compliance.
Leading :
Provide consistent and fair leadership for your entire team.
Establish a method for providing regular and timely feedback to your direct reports.
Set clear expectations and manage to those expectations.
Personnel :
Maintain Department records for each individual in the Pilger Mill Department.
Set up and maintain training records for all Pilger Mill employees to meet the ISO guidelines.
Review annually current SOP's, QCl's and JSAs.
Process Control :
Implement procedures and controls in the Pilger Mill Department to ensure all equipment is performing within established limits and capabilities.
Develop or revise SOP's, QCI's and work instructions as required.
Training : Provide training as required to ensure each employee is qualified to perform the work they are required to do and document that training.
Maintenance : Complete P.M.'s on time
