Role Overview
Diagnostic Radiology radiologists are sought for the Department of Medical Imaging at Ridge Meadows Hospital, part of Fraser Health Authority, to support the growing community practice and newly established MRI service.
Location & Facility
Ridge Meadows Hospital, Maple Ridge, British Columbia.
The hospital has 157 acute care beds and receives over 43,000 emergency visits annually. It offers medical, surgical, ambulatory care, and 24 / 7 emergency services.
Positions
Locum and permanent full‑time radiologists.
Compensation
Flat daily rate, group fee‑for‑service. Time required is negotiable and call responsibilities are shared among group members.
Responsibilities
- Perform radiography, fluoroscopy, general ultrasound, diagnostic breast imaging, musculoskeletal ultrasound, computed tomography (CT), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), and a range of image‑guided procedures.
- Utilize equipment including two dedicated DR radiography units, a Toshiba fixed‑fluoroscopy C‑arm, GE portable and clinical ultrasound units, a GE 64‑slice CT scanner, and a GE 1.5T MRI unit (in service since Fall 2020).
- Apply GE’s AIR ReconTM deep learning image reconstruction software, a leading early‑adoption site.
- Adhere to evidence‑based practice, maintain quality standards, communicate effectively, and collaborate in a collegial environment with scheduling flexibility.
- Serve in general radiography and ultrasound, breast imaging, CT, MRI, and basic interventional procedures.
Qualifications
Board certification in Diagnostic Radiology (FRCPC).Eligibility for licensure by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada and College of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia.CPSBC full or provisional license, or CPSBC eligible for full license.Fellowship in an area of interest, particularly MRI or neuroimaging, is an asset.Seniority
