Infant & Toddler Afternoon Teachers Needed :
W einberg E arly L earning C enter is looking for a creative, energetic, nurturing, dedicated, patient, dependable, and professional teacher who loves working with infants or toddlers.
The ideal candidate will have 2-3 years of experience working with babies’ ages 12 weeks to 12 months, 12-18 months, or 18-24 months. Candidates must enjoy working with children, possess an ability to be both patient and energetic, and display effective communication skills.
Our curriculum is play based and will include daily simulation and age appropriate activities and lessons, baby sign language, infant yoga, music, art, science, motion, and story time. We will also introduce Judaism.
Teachers in Our Infant and Toddler Program
- Hold, rock, sing to, smile at, and explore the world with infants
- Conduct tummy time for or activities to strengthen large gross motor / muscle development
- Lead individual and small group experiences
- Spend time outside to connect with nature
- Provide feeling of security
- Stimulate language development
- Encourage intellectual development
- Provide parents with daily reports
Requirements
CDA; advanced degrees preferredEarly childhood education experience, preferably with infantsSpeak, read, and write English fluentlyCPR and 1stAid Certifications (or willingness to obtain these)Must be able to adapt to continuously changing, fast-paced environment, and make the children's needs your primary focusMust be able to kneel, stoop, squat, and stand for a majority of the dayMust be able to lift up to 30 poundsMust pass state background checkA few of the advantages of being part of the WELC team include :
