American Traveler is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg / Telemetry for a travel nursing job in Cleveland, Ohio.

Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med / Surg Tele position requiring an active Ohio or Compact RN license and recent specialty experience.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

  • Hospital-based Med / Surg Telemetry unit
  • Day and night 12-hour shifts with potential for rotating schedule to meet operational needs
  • Traveler will be assigned every other holiday
  • Electrocardiogram (ECG) rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate assessment completed during orientation
  • Uses Qualivis–Lotus for hours submission
  • Oncology / chemotherapy administration experience preferred but not required; training for chemo administration provided to interested qualified candidates
  • Travelers may be required to rotate between day and night shifts
  • Returning permanent or per diem employees must wait one year before eligibility to return
  • Negative 10 panel and nicotine (cotinine) drug screen required within 12 months of start and updated annually
  • Modules must be completed prior to start and annually if the assignment is extended
  • Badging and fingerprinting completed onsite before start date
  • No restrictions for local candidates
  • PAPRs not considered as an alternative for caregivers with facial hair except with approved medical or religious exemption

  • Active Ohio or Compact RN license required at time of consideration
  • AHA BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certifications required and active
  • Minimum 18 months of recent permanent Med / Surg Telemetry RN experience prior to travel assignments
  • One supervisory reference from a manager, assistant nurse manager, supervisor, or director in the specialty is required
  • Background check with no open cases or license issues accepted
  • ECG and safeMedicate assessments must be passed during orientation
