The Opportunity

We're searching for a dynamic, strategic, and operationallysavvy People& Special Projects Manager who will serve as a key partner in scaling our team, culture, and systems. This newly created role blends highlevel HR strategy, changemanagement, special projects, and growthoriented operations. You'll work closely with our senior leadership (CFO, COO, CEO), our HR Office Manager, and our finance and operations teams to build the people infrastructure that supports our expansion and ensures we continue delivering exceptional service, both to guests and homeowners.

What You'll Own

  • HR Strategy & Special Projects Execution
  • Lead people strategy : talent planning, organizational design, workforce planning in growth markets.

  • Act as a strategic advisor to leadership on culture, change management, growth readiness.
  • Serve as the special projects lead for peopleandops initiatives (new market launches, process redesign, system rollouts, real estate investments, and large development inititiatives).
  • Scalable Systems & Special Projects
  • Develop and optimize scalable HR / people operations systems (onboarding, training, performance, retention) to match growth ambitions.

  • Lead crossfunctional projects e.g., expansion into new vacation rental markets, multi-state compliance, seasonal staffing models.
  • Partner with operations & finance to ensure alignment of people systems with business goals.
  • People Operations & Employee Experience
  • Oversee employee lifecycle initiatives : highvolume recruiting (seasonal + fulltime), onboarding, development, retention.

  • Work with HR Office Manager to ensure consistent operations across locations.
  • Champion employee experience, culture programs, continuous improvement of engagement.
  • Compliance, Data & HR Systems
  • Ensure compliance with relevant employment law (MA + new states), manage benefits / admin strategy, leverage HRIS and data for insights.

  • Use people analytics to highlight trends, risks and opportunities for leadership decisionmaking.
  • What You Bring

  • 7+ years in HR strategy, operations, or people & growth roles ideally in a highgrowth, seasonal, hospitality or multisite environment.
  • Strong project management skills and proven track record in leading crossfunctional initiatives (systems, expansions, changemanagement).
  • Deep comfort with HR operations, systems (HRIS, onboarding / training workflows), and compliance across jurisdictions.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and influencing skills you'll engage senior leaders, managers, and staff alike.
  • Ability to work in a fastpaced, dynamic environment, pivot quickly, and think both strategically and tactically.
  • Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree or HR certification (SHRMCP, PHR) preferred.
  • Nice to Have

  • Experience in hospitality, vacation rentals, seasonal staffing or J1 programs.
  • Familiarity with expansion into new states, building people infrastructure from scratch.
  • Experience with HR analytics and / or changemanagement frameworks.
