Our team has a need for a Project Surveyor to help manage and build the team. In this role you will support the day-to-day survey operations of the Round Rock office.
What you will do :
- Know the principles of performing surveys such as digital leveling, field data reduction, metes and bounds descriptions, topographic surveys, construction surveys, horizontal control surveys, design surveys, and as-built surveys.
- Be familiar with requirements of global positioning systems (GPS) and geographic / land information systems (GIS). Lidar and orthomosaic imagery is a plus.
- Know how to perform and support in records research, abstract mapping, preliminary boundary determinations, map closures, field data processing, digital terrain mapping, and preparation of final survey exhibit deliverables for review by the Registered Professional Land Surveyor (RPLS).
- Have knowledge and understanding of plan reading and preparation.
- Have knowledge of and familiarization with survey applications of computer aided drafting (CAD).
- Be able to coordinate design elements obtained from professionals and format into final drawings.

Texas Registered Professional Land Surveyor (RPLS) or Surveyor-In Training (SIT) scheduled to sit for the RPLS examExtensive experience with TxDOT, other public sector work (cities, counties, utility districts, other agencies) and private land developmentExperience in Business Development to assist in managing projectsComputer literate with a knowledge of MicroStation, GeoPAK, Civil3D, Carlson, Microsoft Office and other associated softwareStrong communication and organizational skills with an attention to detail.Motivated to learn in a dynamic environment with short deadline.Project management skills.Critical thinking and data interpretation skills.Adapt new concepts quickly while working under pressure.The things about us you will appreciate!
