Level II-III NICU experience is required.

Description :

This position is for a travel RN in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.

The unit has 41 beds and a staff of 60.

The day shift includes 1 charge nurse and over 9 registered nurses.

The night shift includes 1 charge nurse and over 9 registered nurses.

Patient ratios vary from 1 : 1, 1 : 2, 1 : 3, and are rarely 1 : 4.

Typical equipment used includes HFOV, central lines, conventional vents, CPAP, NIPPV, and ostomy care.

The electronic medical record systems in use are CPN and Meditech.

Candidates will be expected to perform surgeries, except for heads and hearts.

Respiratory support and care for micro preemies are also part of the job responsibilities.

Candidates should demonstrate strong teamwork orientation.

Candidates without level II-III NICU experience will not be considered for this role.

Candidates with level III-IV experience will be given preferential consideration.

Weekend shifts consist of 4 per 4-week schedule, with no on-call requirements.

The dress code consists of royal blue scrubs.
