Who we are : Children's Aid (CA) is an independent, not-for-profit organization established to serve the children of New York City. Founded in 1853, Children's Aid serves New York's neediest children and their families at more than 40 locations in the New York City five boroughs and Westchester County.

What you will be doing : Reliability and high network performance levels are critical to the ongoing operations of CA. The system administrator is responsible for maintaining key systems in collaboration with others on the infrastructure team, is charged with working with various business and program areas, his / her IT team, outside vendors and organizations to maintain the high-performance levels required to support the objectives of the organization.

Essential Position Functions and Responsibilities : The System Administrator is responsible for managing and maintaining a Children's Aid's multi-site Windows Server and VM environment including :

• Windows Server / Active Directory administration
• Security and antivirus protection administration
• Server and network backup configuration and management,
• Exchange and Directory File Services management and administration
• Mobile device configuration and management. VPN and mobile management tools.
• Participation in infrastructure and network projects including setup, configuration and support of new technology.
• Proposing and implementing hardware, security, software options to improve infrastructure.
• Participation in security audits and intrusion testing activities. Remediation of any findings
• Disaster preparedness

Qualifications

Education

Bachelors of Computer Science (required)

Experience

3 years : 3+ years' MS-Exchange and Directory File Services administration (required)

3 years : 3 years' experience in a Windows System Administration (required)
