Senior Buyer

Location : New Castle, PA

Compensation : Up to $95k base + bonus

Position Overview

A growing manufacturing organization in Western Pennsylvania is seeking a Senior Buyer to step into a high-impact role within its supply chain team. This position will be instrumental in managing day-to-day purchasing operations while driving greater efficiency and cost savings.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead daily purchasing operations with a focus on raw materials (30,000+ SKUs across domestic and international suppliers).
• Negotiate pricing, terms, and lead times to deliver cost savings and strengthen vendor partnerships.
• Oversee inventory management activities and apply Lean principles to improve inventory turns.
• Partner with warehousing, production, planning, shipping, and engineering to support operational needs.
• Leverage ERP, Excel, and reporting tools (Power BI, AI, etc.) to improve reporting and decision-making.
• Mentor and guide a Buyer within the department, supporting their development and success.
• Regularly engage on the factory floor to stay aligned with production and supply chain demands.
• Support cross-functional projects that improve efficiency, supplier performance, and overall supply chain resilience.
