Project Engineer

Selectek is looking for a Project Engineer who would be responsible for planning, developing, coordinating, and managing onsite construction engineering activities for large, extensive projects in the heavy civil earthwork construction industry, encompassing grading, clearing, and site development.

Requirements :

4-year engineering degree or equivalent technical training and related experience is preferred, however a minimum of 7-8 years in the field may suffice as well.

Soil / cement experience

Dam, levy, or reservoir experience is a plus

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Demonstrated ability to manage a team of varied disciplines

Microsoft Office Suite, Estimating Software such as Bluebeam, and scheduling software

Job Details :

Track project quantities

Generate project billing

Initiate and negotiate change orders

Generate CAD drawings and present solutions to owners for design problems that arise in the field

Review plan changes

Assist with work plans

Assist with project schedules

Manage submittal data

Manage material purchase orders

Manage and negotiate subcontracts

Assist in division field personnel management

Assist field personnel in any capacity to handle any problems that may arise

Work with Project Superintendents, Foreman, and Crews to perform work more effectively

Attend pre-construction meetings

Salary : $70,000 to $100,000 with around $10k sign on bonus and company truck

Term of assignment : Â Direct

Pay method when direct : Â Salary

RELO : Yes, and per diem also on case by case

Location of job : Houston, TX - MIN 3 YEARS expected here THEN ON TO OTHER job sites LIKE SOUTH FLORIDA Â

Hours and shift : Monday - Friday,  7AM – 5PM and every other Saturday

Work from home / remote : No

OT expected : possible

Travel : No

Work Attire : Â Business Casual / Jeans
