Description

: This pharmacy technician will staff our St Louis Children's at CoxHealth Joint Venture Pharmacy in our hospital-within-a-hospital (HwH) model. Pharmacy technicians assist pharmacists in preparing and distributing medications, maintaining the drug inventory, and maintaining patient records. Pharmacy technicians work only under the supervision of a registered pharmacist. They do not perform duties that can legally be performed only by a registered pharmacist. Pharmacy technicians present completed medications to the pharmacist for verification, routinely interact with patients to ensure quality service and other job duties where applicable.Education

Required : High School Diploma or Equivalent
Required : Applicant must be at least 18 years of age

Experience :

As required by Pharmacy Technician Certification Board for Certification Exam

Skills :

Good verbal and communication skills

Able to work independently and collaboratively in teams

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Direct customer and patient interactions

Exhibit problem-solving and organizational skill

Licensure / Certification / Registration :

Required : Must be certified as a Pharmacy Technician through a nationally accredited Pharmacy organization.

Required : Registered with the Missouri State Board of Pharmacy as a pharmacy technician or application in process upon hire and obtained within 90 days of hire
