Job Summary and Responsibilities

JOB SUMMARY / PURPOSE

The Paramedic is a CHI Saint Joseph Health professional whose primary focus is to provide emergency medical care for patients accessing the emergency department. The individual will utilize a comprehensive care team approach in collaboration with RN's, physicians, and ancillary staff.

ESSENTIAL KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• While working under physician medical oversight, the Paramedic will assure quality of care by

following the scope of practice provided by the National EMS Scope of Practice Model and further

outlined by the Kentucky Board of Emergency Medical Services. In addition, the individual is to align

their role within functions set forth by CHI Saint Joseph Health.

Clearly identifies self as a licensed paramedic while operating.

Protects patients and employees by adhering to all CHI Saint Joseph Health policies, protocols,

procedures and regulations.

Willing to pursue new levels contributing to professional growth and development.

Job Requirements

Required Education and Experience :

High school Diploma or equivalent. Graduate from a

nationally / state approved accrediting paramedic program.

Required Licensure and Certifications :

Certifications.

Pay Range

$32.00 - $32.00 / hour
