Description :

The unit has a total of 29 beds.

There are 36 staff members on the unit.

The daytime skills mix includes RNs, LPNs, and CNAs along with clinical coordinators.

Nights feature RNs, LPNs, CNAs, and clinical team leads.

Patient ratios are typically 1 : 5, with occasional 1 : 6 in critical staffing shortages.

Non-typical configurations may occur during these circumstances.

Equipment used includes Hill-Rom beds and Baxter IV pumps.

The electronic medical record system utilized is Meditech.

Candidates must possess telemetry experience to be considered for the role.

Charge experience is preferred but not required.

Central line placement is a common procedure performed on the unit.

Most procedures are conducted in procedural areas or if the patient upgrades to ICU.

The staff is oriented towards teamwork and maintains a close-knit environment.

Professional scrubs are required, and various patterns and colors are acceptable.

The unit has several staff members with over 20 years of service.

There is a good mix of new and experienced staff, contributing to a strong team dynamic.
