Histology Tech II Full Time Days Position Summary

Performs various tasks required for receiving, processing, and preparing patient tissue specimens for microscopic examination and analysis by the Pathologist.

\n\n\n

Job Responsibilities

Prepares microscopic tissue slides for diagnostic / research purposes; performs tissue stains to assist in diagnosis; handles specimen accessioning; maintains laboratory and equipment.  Reviews quality control, performs operational duties, maintenance and troubleshooting of histology instruments and equipment.

\n\n\n

THE HISTOLOGY TECH II FULL TIME DAYS CANDIDATE WILL POSSESS THE FOLLOWING EDUCATION, LICENSE / CERTIFICATIONS, AND EXPERIENCE.

\n\n\n

\n\n\n

EDUCATION :

Required :  Bachelor’s or Associate's degree

\n\n\n

EXPERIENCE : \n\n\n

Required :  2 years experience as Histotechnician

\n\n\n

LICENSURE / CERTIFICATION :

Required :   Registered or registry eligible in accordance with an approved certifying agency (ASCP or equivalent) within one year of hire.
