CLOSING DATE: Until Filled
This position is 190 days per year, beginning the 2026-2027 school year. Plus an extra-duty contract for FFA duties, beginning summer 2026. Additionally, there is a stipend for an FFA support position to assist the advisor in all duties related to FFA activities.
REPORTS TO: Building Administrators

JOB GOAL: Classes will be taught in the new high school that has updated, modern, spacious classrooms. Courses taught as part of the program could include agriculture sciences (plant/animal), agriculture leadership, horticulture, etc.FFA Advisor duties: Coach FFA CDEs, attend FFA meetings, conventions, and events, including those scheduled in the summer (2026 and beyond), and out of the area.
This position requires a commitment to fostering a supportive learning environment for all students. The successful candidate will demonstrate a dedication to ensuring all students have the opportunity to succeed, recognizing and addressing barriers to academic achievement.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Current Secondary Oregon Teaching License with an Agriculture endorsement.
- Experience with intervention strategies (ex. Constructing meaning, research-based reading strategies).
- Solid classroom experience.
- Openness to learn teaching and working with multiple intervention support personnel.
- Ability to communicate effectively and work harmoniously with students, parents, school personnel, and other professionals.
- Ability to fulfill a year-round contract involving a summer commitment to county and state fairs.
- Ability to build a high-profile FFA program involving parents, students, and community members.
- Physical demands needed: ability to communicate with students, co-workers, and the public; ability to communicate over the telephone; ability to respond to telephone, bells, students, co-workers, etc.; ability to respond to classroom disturbances, visual cues, student requests, etc.; ability to operate office equipment; ability to carry or lift loads (80lbs lbs).
PREFERENCES:
- Preference may be given to those who are bilingual in Spanish and English.
