Purpose
Reporting to the Vice Provost for Academics & Curriculum, the Director of Curriculum and Academic Administration is responsible for directing the Curriculum and Academic Administration Unit and overseeing the administration of academic initiatives, including compliance with university, state, and accreditor requirements, in addition to establishing partnerships, tracking curriculum and program changes, and serving as a liaison between the university and external organizations. This position is responsible for ensuring adherence to university, state, and federal regulations for academic programming and coordinating efforts to address key academic and administrative issues.

Required Qualifications
A master's degree in a relevant field. At least 5 years of progressively responsible experience in institutional research or academic administration in a complex organization. Proven ability to lead, inspire, and motivate teams in a fast-paced environment. Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills. Deep understanding of accreditation standards, institutional effectiveness, and academic policy development. Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders.
Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.
Preferred Qualifications
Doctoral degree in a relevant field. Experience managing compliance with state and federal educational regulations. Professional experience in a supervisory role within a university setting. Experience working with cross-disciplinary programs. Experience working with students and faculty at UT Austin. General knowledge of UT course offerings and degree plans. Demonstrated ability to determine and manage priorities. Excellent research skills. Demonstrated commitment to undergraduate education and developing curriculum to support effective teaching of writing, quantitative reasoning, and / or independent inquiry across disciplines.
Salary Range
$100,000 + depending on qualifications
