Responsibilities Work in an acute care hospital Labor and Delivery unit Care for a culturally diverse, high-risk obstetric patient population Circulate on cesarean sections as part of daily duties Night shift schedule with 3x12-hour shifts (18 : 00–6 : 30) Required to work every other weekend Floating may be required to similar units within the hospital or affiliated hospitals nearby Epic EMR is used and prior Epic experience is required Responsibilities include circulating for cesarean sections and collaborating within a multidisciplinary team All travelers must be willing to float to other facilities within the state as needed Must be open to working 2 out of 3 major holidays : Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year Returning employees must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler First-time travelers are welcome to apply RN scrub color is any solid color, typically Royal Blue or Navy Free parking is provided initially, with assigned parking during orientation Completion of online modules pre-assignment and annually is required Requirements Active CA RN license is required at the time of consideration Minimum of 1 year of recent Labor and Delivery RN experience Current certifications in ACLS, BLS, and NRP are required Must provide a minimum of 2 supervisory references from within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty or setting Experience with Epic charting system is required RTO (requested time off) must be disclosed at the time of application Local candidates are accepted but must live outside of a 50-mile radius Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-634107.
