Product Designer (UX / UI) - Secret Clearance Required with Security Clearance Job

About MODUS21 : MODUS21 is a Charleston-based business and technology consulting firm specializing in government and defense solutions. Join our team supporting NIWC Atlantic's Cloud Engineering, Transition, and Modernization Support Services (CETM). Mission : Support the E2IS Integrated Product Team by delivering user-centered design solutions for complex DoD systems, ensuring products are desirable, useful, and usable for military and government users. Key Responsibilities :

• Conduct comprehensive user research, interviews, and ethnographic studies within DoD environments
• Develop detailed user personas, journey maps, and behavioral frameworks
• Design and execute usability testing protocols and validation studies
• Create service design architectures and optimize information hierarchies
• Deliver wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity UI / UX designs ensuring accessibility compliance
• Establish design systems and component libraries for product consistency
• Partner with Product Managers on feature prioritization and outcome-oriented roadmaps
• Collaborate with engineering teams on agile development practices and CI / CD processes
• Manage design documentation in JIRA and Confluence
• Coordinate with cybersecurity teams on POA&M resolution Required Qualifications :
• Bachelor's degree in quantitative field (Engineering, CS, IT, IS, or related)
• 3+ years of professional software engineering or design experience
• Agile Developer or Certified Scrum Developer certification
• Security+ certification
• Experience in DoD and Agile environments (Lean, Scrum, XP frameworks)
• Proficiency with JIRA, Confluence, and ALM tools
• Ability to obtain DoD Secret clearance Essential Skills :
