- Job Summary : \
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented paralegal with a Experience in Estate planning and probate. The successful candidate will support attorney with a wide range of legal work, including research, documentation, and case preparation. This role requires expertise in legal procedures, excellent research skills, and the ability to manage complex legal documentation and deadlines.
- Key Responsibilities : \
1. \
- Case Management : \
- Assist attorneys with case preparation, including organizing and managing case files, drafting pleadings, and corresponding paperwork
2. \
- Legal Research and Analysis : \
- Perform legal research on case law, statutes, regulations, and legal articles relevant to ongoing cases.
- Analyze and summarize legal information for attorney review. Prepare accountings and waiver of accountings.
3. \
- Document Preparation and Review : \
- Draft, review, and finalize various legal documents, such as affidavits, briefs, and contracts.
- Proofread and ensure accuracy of legal documents, with attention to legal compliance, grammar, and format.
4. \
- Client Coordination : \
- Maintain communication with clients to keep them informed about case status and respond to inquiries.
- Coordinate with clients for all paperwork needed
5. \
- Court and Regulatory Filings : \
- File legal documents with courts and other government agencies in a timely and accurate manner.
- Monitor and manage court and regulatory deadlines, ensuring all filings meet requirements.
6. \
- Administrative Support : \
- Maintain case calendars, schedule meetings, and track important deadlines.
- Manage document discovery and maintain electronic and paper filing systems to support case tracking.

- Other Duties as Assigned : \
- Assist attorney with special projects and provide general legal support as needed.
- Stay updated on legal developments and continuously improve legal knowledge.
- Qualifications : \
- Education : \
- Associate's degree or paralegal certification from an ABA-approved program is preferred.
- Experience : \
- Minimum of 3 years in a paralegal role, with proven expertise in probate.
- Skills : \
- Strong knowledge of legal terminology, court systems, and procedural requirements.
- Proficient in legal research databases (e.g., Westlaw, LexisNexis) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Preferred Skills : \
- Experience with probate paperwork
- Experience with document management software and Clio
- Bilingual language skills are a plus (Spanish)
