The Operator II performs medium repetitious work content with job rotations up to two times per shift. An Operator II has proficient knowledge of assembly line function and processes. An Operator II will follow and support the usage of proper PPE, safety procedures, and housekeeping / 5S. The areas of primary focus are safety, quality, delivery, cost, and employee engagement while aligning with Kohler's core competencies which include Building Trust, Setting High Standards, Continuous Improvement, and Focusing on the End Customer.
Shift & Schedule :
1st shift, 6 : 30 AM start time; full shift with occasional overtime and some weekend work (weekend premium available).
Specific Responsibilities :
Report into working production area by shift start-up time.
Read and understand the written work instructions.
Verify part accuracy per specification being built.
Perform medium repetitious work content with job rotations up to two times per shift.
Follow all safety, quality, and process instructions and procedures.
Responsible for 5S and housekeeping activities, tool and gauge protection, and part stockage in the workstation.
Consistently meet cycle times.
Ensure applicable product compliance requirements are upheld including but not limited to the Clean Air Act, California Code of Regulation, and California Health and Safety Code.
Take directions from the assigned Team Lead / Group Lead / Repair Tech.
Notify Team Lead, Repair Tech, Supervisor, or Quality of any abnormal part, defective unit, or process / tool not working as designed or trained on.
Requirements :
Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience in an industrial and manufacturing environment.
Ability to follow all safety policies and procedures.
Ability to communicate effectively for manufacturing production processes.
Must be at least 18 years old.
The Hourly range for this position is $19.70-$19.70. The specific Hourly rate offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate's experience, their education, and the work location.
