Our newly launched orthodontic practice located in Cherry Hill, NJ is a modern, patient-centered orthodontic practice dedicated to delivering exceptional care and creating beautiful smiles for patients of all ages and their families. We are seeking a friendly, organized, and professional Orthodontic Receptionist / Clinical Assistant to be the welcoming face of our office and ensure a smooth experience for every patient. This employee will also be expected to assist our orthodontists in chairside procedures as needed. Our ideal candidate would be able to commit to : Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays from 9-5 pm. There may be additional evening hours or occasional Sundays, but these are not mandatory.
This will be a full time position that will include the following responsibilities :
- Greet patients and families with warmth and professionalism
- Manage phone calls, texts, emails, and patient inquiries
- Schedule and confirm appointments efficiently
- Verify insurance benefits and process claims
- Collect and post payments accurately
- Maintain accurate patient records and update charts as needed
- Coordinate with the clinical and administrative teams to ensure smooth daily operations
- Assist the orthodontist during chairside procedures
- Prepare and maintain instruments, equipment, and treatment areas
- Take intraoral scans, photographs, and X-rays
- Place and remove orthodontic appliances (as directed)
- Educate patients on oral hygiene and appliance care
- Maintain accurate patient records and charting
- Ensure compliance with all infection control and sterilization protocols
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalentPrevious experience in an orthodontic or dental front office preferred (willing to train the right candidate)New Jersey Registered Dental Assistant Licensure preferredExcellent communication and customer service skillsStrong organizational skills and attention to detailProfessional appearance and positive attitudePunctual with plans for long term employmentAbility to multitask and thrive in a busy environmentSocial Media experience is a plus.Spanish is a plus but not requiredBenefits
