Locum - Nurse Practitioner - General Medicine IN
Join our team as a Locum Nurse Practitioner specializing in General Medicine and make a meaningful impact by providing essential assessments for Veterans. This flexible role offers an excellent opportunity to work on a PRN basis, performing non-treatment Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments nationwide. Required Skills:
- Valid Nurse Practitioner licensure in the relevant state
- Experience in family medicine, internal medicine, or similar general medicine fields
- Strong interview and physical assessment skills, including range of motion and muscle strength testing
- Ability to perform quick, accurate evaluations and complete detailed reports
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Comfort working independently in varied settings
Nice to Have Skills:
- Prior experience with Compensation & Pension exams or military/veteran healthcare
- Knowledge of VA procedures and documentation
- Certification in occupational health or related areas
- Experience working remotely or in home-office environments
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Master's or Doctoral degree in Nursing (MSN or DNP)
- Minimum of 2 years clinical experience in general medicine or relevant specialties
- Previous work in assessments, evaluations, or similar non-treatment environments is advantageous
Other Requirements:
- Local candidates only; travel included within specified radius based on location
- Ability to complete exams that involve interview and physical assessments without prescribing or treatment duties
- Willingness to work flexible shifts, including half-day (4 hours) and full-day (8 hours) blocks
- Quick credentialing and onboarding process
- Availability to start on 03/06/2026
