American Traveler is seeking an experienced Emergency Department RN for a night shift role in a busy, team-oriented acute care setting, requiring a WA or compact RN license and advanced certifications.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
Work in an acute care Emergency Department with 25 beds plus hallway and surge spacesHandles a daily patient volume of 140-150 with a typical 4 : 1 nurse-to-patient ratioCare for patients with sepsis, chest pain, abdominal pain, stroke, and pediatric emergenciesNight shift, 12-hour shifts required with every other weekend and holiday coverageFloating required to other hospitals within Region I as neededEpic charting system is used in this departmentThree dedicated mental health rooms available in the departmentRespiratory therapists manage advanced respiratory equipment; RNs perform breathing treatmentsCollaborative, team-based environment with hands-on and approachable leadershipOrientation consists of three days specific to the unit and departmentScrubs may be hospital-issued or personalNo call or standby requirements for this positionED RNs occasionally care for boarded patients, with support from a dedicated transition staffHoliday responsibilities apply on a rotating basis in line with department staffFirst-time travelers are welcome to applyCandidates may not have been employed by any facility within the affiliated health system within the past year\n \n Requirements\n
Active WA or compact RN license required at time of considerationMinimum two years of recent Emergency Department nursing experienceCurrent certifications : ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS, and TNCCExperience with Epic EMR is preferredAbility to float to other facilities within the regional networkMust provide a current driver’s license for considerationTwo references required : one from a supervisor within the past 12 months and another from a supervisor or peer within the past three years\n Benefits\n
