Automotive Fleet Mechanic with Heavy Equipment Experience

• Job Summary :

We are seeking a skilled Automotive Fleet Mechanic with extensive heavy equipment experience to maintain and repair our fleet of vehicles and heavy machinery. The ideal candidate will ensure all equipment operates efficiently, safely, and in compliance with company policies and regulations. This position will be a 2 weeks 2 weeks off in Bethel, Alaska. Average day will be 12 hours per day.

• Key Responsibilities :
• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on a diverse fleet of vehicles, including trucks, cars, and heavy machinery.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.
• Inspect and test vehicles and equipment to identify problems and determine solutions.
• Perform preventive maintenance to ensure fleet reliability and safety.
• Keep accurate records of repairs, parts, and maintenance activities.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and regulatory standards.
• Utilize diagnostic tools and equipment to identify issues efficiently.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Collaborate with team members to prioritize repairs and maintenance schedules.
• Qualifications :
• Proven experience as an automotive mechanic, fleet technician, or similar role, with heavy equipment experience.
• Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and heavy machinery.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and service bulletins.
• Valid driver’s license; CDL preferred.
• Certification from a reputable automotive or heavy equipment technician program (ASE Certification a plus).
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Good communication skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Physical Requirements :
• Ability to lift heavy parts and equipment. xuwmhxw
• Comfortable working in confined spaces, on vehicles, and outside in various weather conditions
• Travel to other stations outside of Bethel to maintain fleet at other stations.

Job Type : Full-time

Pay : $25.00 - $28.00 per hour
