Complex Litigation Associate

• Madison, NJ | Hybrid

Salary Range : $165,000 – $210,000 (commensurate with experience)

A well-established litigation firm is seeking a mid-to-senior level associate to join its team in Madison, New Jersey. The role is ideal for a motivated litigator looking to take ownership of complex matters while working in a collaborative, hybrid environment.

About the Role :

This position offers hands-on experience managing diverse defense litigation matters from inception through resolution. The successful candidate will play a key role in developing case strategies, managing discovery, and advocating in court and mediation settings.

Key Responsibilities :

Lead and manage all phases of litigation, including depositions, hearings, mediations, and trial prep

Conduct legal research, draft motions, and prepare pleadings

Collaborate with senior attorneys and clients to develop case strategy and assess risk

Maintain client communication and provide regular case updates

Ideal Background :

JD from an accredited law school

Admitted to practice in New Jersey

3–8 years of defense-side litigation experience, ideally within personal injury, general liability, catastrophic injury, or transportation

Strong writing and analytical skills

Ability to manage a full caseload with autonomy while collaborating effectively within a team
