This position is eligible for $2,000 retention bonus.

Overview

The Providence Center Peer Recovery Specialist (Bilingual) works with people who participate in Anchor Recovery Community Center services, providing individual and group recovery coaching, and helping with activities. The Peer Recovery Specialist (Bilingual) Anchor Recovery Community Center is responsible for promoting and maintaining a positive community environment, in which Anchor members are able to develop recovery capital and learn about the recovery process. The Peer Recovery Specialist will provide skills training and will assist with resource development. TPC-Anchor Community Recovery Center Peer Recovery Specialist (Bilingual) will provide skills, training, and assist with resource development.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Provide individual recovery support.
• Facilitate recovery support groups.
• Facilitate skills development, through educational training sessions.
• Provide information and referrals for community based resources.
• Help lead activities and events, in-house and in community settings.
• Ensures safety for all participants, by following policies and procedures.
• Serve as advocate for program participants and assist them to develop self-advocacy skills.
• Complete all required documentation clearly and on time.
• Communicate effectively and respectfully with all program participants, coworkers, and with community partners.
• Maintain positive relationships.
• Complete all trainings as assigned.
• Additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.
