Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A contract opportunity is available for Special Education Teachers to support diverse learners in K-12 settings. This role focuses on delivering targeted instruction and interventions for students with disabilities, primarily in reading and foundational math skills.

Locations include campuses serving grades K-4 and 5-8, with an average caseload of approximately 20 students. The position emphasizes push-in and pull-out support, addressing needs related to specific learning disabilities (SLD) and developmental delays (DD). This role is ideal for educators passionate about making a meaningful impact on students with diverse learning needs.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Provide specialized instruction to students with disabilities using evidence-based strategies.
  • Deliver push-in and pull-out support focused on reading fluency, comprehension, and foundational math skills.
  • Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff to implement individualized education plans (IEPs).
  • Monitor student progress and adjust instruction to meet individual learning goals.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and participate in required meetings.

Qualifications and Experience :

  • Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with a Learning Behavior Specialist I (LBS1) endorsement.
  • Experience supporting students with SLD and DD preferred.
  • Strong skills in differentiated instruction and progress monitoring.
