Job description

Job Title : Prescribing Physician and Associate Medical Director for Mental Health Telehealth Services

Location : Remote (Telehealth – Licensed in Massachusetts)

Position Type : Contract (1099)

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Psychiatrist, Neuropsychiatrist, Family Medicine, or Internal Medicine Physician (MD or DO) to join our clinical team in Massachusetts as both a Prescribing Physician and Associate Medical Director . In this dual role, you will provide direct patient care through medication management services while also assisting in clinical leadership and medical oversight of our provider team. Experience with physicians and healthcare professionals as patients required.

As a partial owner of a clinical professional corporation (P.C.) , you will ensure the highest standard of telehealth mental health care in Massachusetts. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute both clinically and administratively while helping shape an innovative and mission-driven mental health practice that supports healthcare professionals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Clinical Leadership and Oversight
  • Assist in providing medical leadership and oversight to a team of licensed mental health professionals, ensuring evidence-based practices and the highest standard of patient care.
  • Clinical Care and Medication Management
  • Provide direct care to patients through brief psychiatric assessments and ongoing medication management.
  • Deliver concierge-level care, ensuring accessibility, compassion, and clinical excellence in every interaction.
  • Administrative and Operational Management
  • Serve as one of the primary points of contact for clinical escalations and patient care concerns as needed.
  • Quality Assurance and Compliance
  • Assist in monitoring and evaluating clinical outcomes, patient satisfaction, and provider performance.
  • Professional Development and Training
  • Mentor, train, and support the professional development of clinical team members.
  • Foster a collaborative and supportive culture among both clinical and non-clinical staff.

Qualifications

  • Education : MD / DO in Psychiatry, Family Medicine, or relevant specialty; licensed to practice in Massachusetts.
  • Experience : Minimum of 5 years in clinical practice with experience in mental health care; leadership experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience with physicians or healthcare professionals as patients required.
  • Licensure : Active, unrestricted medical license in Massachusetts (multi-state licensure and DEA license preferred).
  • Certification : Board-certified in Psychiatry or related specialty preferred.
  • Skills and Competencies

  • Strong understanding of telehealth regulations, compliance, and best practices.
  • Proven clinical and leadership experience in healthcare settings.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency with EHR systems and telehealth platforms.
  • Experience in integrated medical or behavioral health settings preferred.

  • Compensation

  • Independent Contractor Arrangement (1099)
  • Patient Visits : Paid hourly rate for patient care services (starting at $200 an hour).
  • P.C. Owner / Associate Medical Director Responsibilities : FMV (Fair Market Value) compensation for associate medical director.
