Responsibilities Work in the ICU within a Float Pool role at an acute care hospital Responsibilities include floating between ICU and Med / Surg units, and floating to a sister facility located 15 minutes away Nurse-to-patient ratios are 1 : 2 Care for critically ill patients, including management of ventilated patients, dysrhythmias, and advanced procedures such as para / thoracentesis and central line placement Night shifts, 3x12 hours, from 18 : 00 to 06 : 00 Required to work every other weekend No on-call requirement Uses MediTech Expanse EMR ICU nurses respond to rapid response team calls throughout the facility Employee choice of scrub color Flu shot required during flu season from October 1 to March 31 Free parking is available in any unrestricted space Finalized time-off requests must be submitted with application; no RTO permitted in the first two weeks or for full calendar weeks; maximum of 10 days off allowed Local candidates are accepted Requirements Active CO or compact RN license in hand is required Minimum of 2 years recent ICU and Med / Surg nursing experience Current certifications required : ACLS, BLS, and PALS NIHSS and TNCC are preferred certifications Experience with advanced ICU procedures such as intubation, central line, art line placement, and managing ventilated patients Ability to interpret and manage cardiac arrhythmias First-time travelers accepted with adequate experience Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-620258.
