Job Summary
Location : St. Bernard, OH
The person holding this position will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of all utility plant equipment and assist with maintenance tasks as assigned.
Key Accountabilities
Qualifications
A high school diploma or GED, four years of experience and license is required
Must be AUO qualified
An associate degree is preferred
Must have knowledge of utility and power plant mechanical and electrical equipment, including chillers motors, pumps, fluid systems, chemical handling, wastewater treatment systems, centrifugal air compressors, AC and DC electrical distribution and control systems, etc. and associated maintenance functions to provide for the following : Ability to learn and become proficient in all site specific systems and subsystems
Knowledge of power plant safety, policies, and procedures, especially in area such as chemical handling, high-energy systems, confined spaces, first aid, rotating machinery, and heavy equipment
Knowledge of and ability to understand fundamental principles related to physics, mathematics, AC & DC electrical theory, heat transfer and fluid flow, thermal dynamics, and chemistry
Knowledge of and experience in mechanical maintenance, rigging, rotating machine repair, fabrication, machine alignment, basic vibration analysis, and using electrical test equipment Knowledge of chemistry and power plant chemical applications Ability to operate valves, switches, controls, keyboards, and other devices associated with power plants
Ability to use basic hand tools, portable electric and pneumatic tools, and basic rigging equipment such as winches, hoists, and slings
Ability to locate, troubleshoot, and adjust defects in mechanical equipment and / or maintain, install, modify, and troubleshoot plant electrical systems and equipment
Ability to communicate verbally and in writing
Ability to operate and maintain various analytical and test equipment

The employee is occasionally exposed fumes or airborne particles and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate but may become loud at the plant site.
