• Provide nursing care to patients with health problems ranging from simple to complex under general supervision
• Work in both stepdown and medsurg units - experience in both required
• Oncology Surgical experience with ONS / ONCC certification required, may consider fundamentals training
• Assume responsibility for an assigned group of patients
• Document patient responses to nursing interventions and prescribed medical treatments
• Assist physicians in patient examinations and minor diagnostic procedures
• Obtain and monitor physiological data, observe patient manifestations and intervene when necessary
• Administer medications as prescribed
• Initiate, regulate and monitor intravenous infusions and blood products
• Interact with families and patients regarding care plans and discharge instructions
• Make referrals for patient care needs and delegate tasks to support staff
• 1 year of nursing experience required
• Associate's Degree in Nursing from accredited program required, Bachelor's preferred
• Current Oklahoma RN License or multistate compact RN License required
• Required certifications : BLS (AHA) and ACLS (AHA)
• Strong verbal and written communication skills needed
