We are seeking a skilled Technical Writer to join our Learning and Development team. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a law firm and be familiar with various legal software applications. This role requires a detail-oriented individual who can follow set processes and directions efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for software applications, including those specific to the legal industry.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to gather information and ensure accuracy in documentation.
  • Create facilitator materials, quick reference guides, and eLearning content for technical applications.
  • Ensure all documentation adheres to established standards and guidelines.
  • Review and update existing documentation to reflect changes in software and processes.
  • Recommend and implement improved delivery methods to enhance training products.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Technical Writing, English, Communication, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience as a technical writer or technical trainer.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience within a law firm.
  • Proficiency with legal software applications and an understanding of the legal industry.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow set processes and directions.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Familiarity with documentation tools and software such as Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Word, and document management systems.
  • Preferred Skills

  • Experience with eLearning tools and creating digital training content.
  • Knowledge of instructional design principles.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
