Guidewire Solutions Architect

Scion Technology has been engaged to conduct a search for a Guidewire Solutions Architect on behalf of our client, an innovative and fast-growing insurance technology firm. This is a full-time role based out of Torrance, CA, reporting directly to the Chief Customer Officer. The role offers high visibility, long-term growth, and the opportunity to shape an AI-powered insurance ecosystem from the ground up.

Key Responsibilities & Requirements:

• Lead the design and implementation of scalable, secure, and cloud-native architecture across the Guidewire ecosystem

• Architect and optimize integrations between Guidewire InsuranceSuite and third-party platforms such as SmartCOMM, One Inc, Verisk, Docusign, TransUnion, and Dialpad

• Define and manage APIs, message structures, data contracts, and integration flows using REST APIs, JSON/XML, and API Gateways

• Collaborate with developers and business stakeholders to deliver monitored, high-performing, and reusable system integrations

• Select and implement cloud-native technologies including AWS Lambda, S3, Glue, Redshift, and Snowflake to support scalable data pipelines and services

• Drive system compliance with data privacy, SOC2, CCPA, NAIC, and ISO standards

• Ensure architectural alignment with business continuity, security, and performance goals

• Lead by example and mentor developers on architecture principles, modularity, and design best practices

• Use tools like Terraform, Jenkins, GitHub, Confluence, and Postman for infrastructure automation and documentation

• Communicate effectively across technical and non-technical audiences to ensure clarity and alignment on architecture strategies

Requirements:

• 3+ years supporting or integrating Guidewire InsuranceSuite (all 4 platforms within the solution).

• Strong knowledge of Guidewire’s data and integration models

• Deep experience designing and delivering enterprise integrations across core insurance systems, customer communications, payment processing, and data platforms

• Hands-on expertise with cloud environments, REST APIs, and secure data workflows

• Familiarity with compliance frameworks such as SOC2, CCPA, NAIC, and ISO

• Excellent communication, planning, and cross-functional leadership skills

Compensation:

This role offers a market-aligned salary in the range of $150K - $165K+ (salary is flexible depending on experience), along with a robust benefits package, bonus opportunities, and remote or work flexibility.
