Job descriptionCST Certification Minimum 2 years of experience as a Surgical Tech BLS Certification Experience working Ophthalmology & Ortho cases Previous hospital experience as an OR technologist Required to work weekends and holidays as needed. Must be able to work nights 9P-7A. May float to L&D, but rarely. Unable to accommodate time off requests in December. Scheduled for 40 hours per week, works 36 hours after breaks. Night shift : 9P-7A.
Job Summary :
The OR Tech is a member of the OR Team, working under the supervision of the OR Manager / Surgery Center Manager. The primary function is scrubbing for surgical cases, handling instruments, supplies, medication, media, specimens, and instrument cases. When fully trained, the OR Tech assumes responsibility for call.

Responsibilities :
- Scrub for surgical cases.
- Handle instruments, supplies, medication, media, and specimens.
- Manage instrument cases.
- Assume call responsibilities when fully trained.
- Work with surgeons, registered nurses, anesthesiologists, certified nurse anesthetists, and ancillary support personnel.
