Position Overview

The client's Legal, Risk, and Compliance Technology Team is seeking a Lead Archer Developer to play a key role in advancing the firm's enterprise governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) strategy through the RSA Archer platform .

This role serves as both a technical lead and hands-on developer , responsible for designing, building, and integrating Archer solutions that strengthen TIAA's risk management and compliance frameworks. The ideal candidate will bring deep Archer expertise , exceptional API integration skills , and a proven ability to collaborate across technical and business teams in a highly regulated enterprise environment.

Key Responsibilities

Serve as the technical lead for Archer development and integration initiatives, providing architectural oversight and hands-on solution delivery.

Design, implement, and maintain complex Archer use cases and custom applications spanning risk, compliance, and audit domains.

Develop and manage API integrations with external systems using REST, JSON, SQL, and staging methods .

Lead platform upgrade efforts , ensuring alignment with Archer best practices, performance standards, and regulatory requirements.

Collaborate closely with business analysts, risk and compliance partners, and enterprise technology teams to deliver enhancements and new features.

Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior developers and contract resources.

Support production operations , including troubleshooting, defect resolution, and user support requests.

Maintain comprehensive documentation , version control, and change management processes across all development activities.

Required Qualifications

7+ years of hands-on experience in RSA Archer configuration and development .

Proven expertise in API development and integration (REST, JSON, SQL).

Strong proficiency in SQL Server , including stored procedures and data staging.

Experience with workflow design, data feeds, custom objects, and access control in Archer.

Solid understanding of GRC domains such as Operational Risk, Compliance, Issues Management, and Audit.

Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills .

Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, cross-functional team environment.

Preferred Qualifications

RSA Archer Certified Administrator certification.

Hands-on experience with Archer APIs and third-party integration tools .

Experience supporting large-scale Archer implementations within Fortune 500 organizations.
