Manatawny Manor is now hiring an experienced, Part Time Dietary Cook to join our team!
At Manatawny Manor, our Dietary Cooks are responsible for the preparation and serving of meals, sanitation of food service areas, accurate record keeping, receiving, rotating and inventory of products and regulatory compliance.
Ability to pass a Pre-Employment Criminal Background Check is required for employment.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities of the Dietary Cook :
- Preparing and serving the residents in our facility
- Ensuring all special dietary needs are met and preparing texture modified food as directed
- Following the specially prepared menus and production sheets to maintain the highest possible quality and consistency
- Ensuring compliance with all record keeping, food safety, and risk management requirements
- Stepping in as manager when needed
- Flexibility within department positions
Skills & Qualifications of the Dietary Cook :
High School graduate or GEDCulinary Arts graduate or experience cooking in long-term care or hospital setting preferredDemonstrate a positive attitude with the ability to follow oral and written instructionsMust be able to speak, read and write English to communicate effectively with othersMust be able to be at work as scheduled and arrive to work on timeMust be able to lift / carry a maximum of 50 poundsMust be able to work every other weekend and some holidaysProfessionally represent Manatawny Manor by following instructions, being courteous, and cooperative with supervisor, co-workers, residents, and guestsBenefits We Offer Our Employees :
