Are you excited about this Patient Account Specialist job?

As a Patient Access Specialist at Guttenberg Municipal Hospital & Clinics, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional customer service while managing a variety of key responsibilities. Your duties will include functioning as a switchboard operator, receptionist, cashier, and patient registration specialist. You will warmly acknowledge and greet patients, visitors, and hospital staff at the front desk, ensuring a welcoming environment. Competently managing the hospital switchboard, you will use proper telephone etiquette and protocols for efficient call handling.

You will handle cashier activities, accurately posting payments to patient accounts and balancing your cash drawer at the end of your shift. In addition, you will be responsible for making appointments and handling registrations, including pre-registration and HOD registrations. Your teamwork and familiarity with an EHR program, preferably EPIC, will contribute to a positive and efficient department atmosphere.
