POSITION SUMMARY :
Puyallup Chocolates is seeking a skilled Supply Chain Manager to join our team. This position will play a vital role in helping to develop the processes and procedures to help expand our business. They will work cross functionally in a highly collaborative environment to source ingredients, manage supplier base, and optimize inventory.
The Supply Chain Manager will source raw materials, with a focus on raw ingredients such as chocolate, dried fruits, and nuts, along with finished goods packaging. This includes managing the competitive RFP process end to end with goals that include optimizing our supplier base, sourcing options and COGS, while reducing risk to our supply chain. The Manager will lead supplier contract negotiations, supported cross functionally by Puyallup Chocolates teams, including Finance and Legal. This position leads the vendor vetting and selection process and will be the primary manager for vendor relationships. This includes developing and maintaining vendor scorecards to ensure high performance.

RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Facilitate supplier / vendor selection, development, and relationship management to ensure the uninterrupted flow of high-quality, cost-competitive goods and services, as well as the transparency of spend
- Lead production planning and scheduling to meet customer demand while optimizing inventory
- Ensure compliance with quality standards, regulatory requirements, and safety guidelines across the supply chain
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams (production, quality, finance, sales, and operations) to ensure seamless workflow
- Identify and implement methods that decrease expenditure and increase efficiency
- Perform cost and scenario analysis on raw materials and packaging
- Implement and maintain ERP / MRP systems to support planning, forecasting, and reporting
- Develop, maintain, measure, and improve vendor / supplier evaluation system
- Establish cost savings KPIs, achieving additional margin to support company initiatives
- Collaborate with appropriate teams to create and maintain procurement policies and SOPs that drive business results and document effective internal controls
- Identify opportunities for improvements, identify potential areas of risk, and promptly share critical business information with key stakeholders to maximize results throughout Puyallup Chocolates
- Establish and maintain effective business relationships with all employees, vendors, business partners, government / regulatory entities, and communities in which we operate
- Strictly enforce workplace safety measures; safeguard the welfare of all employees, guests, visitors, and business partners at all times; promptly report workplace risks, incidents, injuries, and near misses; consistently wear and utilize all required PPE
- Maintain confidentiality regarding all sensitive and proprietary business information and safeguard Puyallup Chocolates assets at all times
REQUIREMENTS : Minimum
